Our Beliefs

The Bible

We believe that the Bible is the infallible, inerrant and inspired word of God. Its content has been preserved by God, and it is the final authority in all matters of doctrine and faith above all human authority; and is the supreme standard by which all human conduct will be judged. (Psalm 119:160, II Tim. 3:16, II Pet. 1:20-21)

God

We believe that there is one eternal, almighty and perfect God existent in three persons; Father, Son and Holy Spirit; with distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence, or being. (Deut. 6:4, Isa. 45:5, I Jn. 5:7)

Christ

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, and in His substitutionary and atoning death through His shed blood. We believe in His bodily resurrection and His return in power and glory. (Jn. 1:1-3, 14, Matt. 1:23, Titus 2:11-14 Matt.28:5-6, Rev. 1:5-7)

Man

We believe that all men are lost sinners and need to be saved, and that Jesus Christ is his only savior. (Rom. 3:23, 5:12, Jn. 14:6, Acts 4:12)

Salvation

We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful man regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential. (Jn. 3:3-5 Titus 3:3-7)

Holy Spirit

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit whereby the gifts and operation of the Spirit become active in the church and in the life of believers. (I Cor. 12:1-11, Acts 13:2 & 20:28, John 16:13-14).

Ordinances

We believe in water baptism by immersion and in taking communion. These ordinances are commanded of all believers, not for salvation, but an act of obedience and faith after salvation. (Acts 8:35-38, I Cor. 11:24-26)

Resurrection

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, they that are saved unto eternal life and they that are lost unto eternal damnation. (Jn. 5:28-29, Dan. 12:13, I Cor. 15:20)

Marriage

We believe in the Biblical definition of marriage and its laws concerning human sexuality. According to the Bible, marriage and the guiding principles for it was created and given to humanity by God as a part of his original creation. Therefore, the institution of marriage was not an after-thought or an invention of man but the creation of God. (Matt. 19:4-5;Lev. 20:13, I Cor. 6:9). We only honor the marriage of men and women.

Human life

We believe in the sanctity of human life, even in the womb of the mother. The Bible does not specifically mention the word abortion, but it does speak of unborn children. These Biblical statements refers to the unborn as persons; therefore, abortion is killing a person. (Ps. 139:13-16, Jer.1:5, Gen. 9:6)
